I was so comfortable towing my 7,000 lb GVWR, 31’2” camper over the last ~5,500 miles that I decided to upgrade to a slightly larger unit to get an enclosed bunkhouse, more grey capacity, bigger shower, 2 A/C’s, etc. etc
I know 1500 has it’s limits so I did not want to go much bigger. Wanted to keep the towing experience easy and not need to upgrade to 2500. Towed 650 miles home and couldn’t be happier with how my Ram handled it. I love this truck.
