Delmonico Red or Patriot Blue

I'm having a tough time deciding on the two colors. I put in an order last night for my truck, and went with Patriot Blue. They didn't have any on the lot that I could look at in person, but they did have the Delmonico Red and man, is that a nice color. I currently have a 2016 Tacoma in Barcelona Red so was thinking of moving to a blue truck, but it's hard to decide since I couldn't see both colors side by side.

How about some pics of JUST your Delmonico Red and/or Patriot Blue trucks in various lighting to help me decide...?

Both great choices...I ultimately went with Delmonico Red after seeing it in the sunlight. See here.

Same with me, dealer did not have a blue to look at but ordered one anyway. They did have the red and it was gorgeous. I am happy with the blue though!

Love Love Love my Patriot Blue. Does now show dirt as badly as black and not quite as flashy as the Delmonico Red.

It was a toss up for me as well. I went with the Delmonico this time around as the Patriot Blue in 2019 is darker than in years past. Just a tad too dark for me. Last truck was a Blue Flame F150 and I've had a Patriot Blue in the past - pictured below my '06 2500.

I personally was disappointed in the patriot blue as pictures do not represent how turquoise/bright light blue the flake is when it is in the sunlight. Totally different color in person. I got the red on my limited with painted bumpers, and could not be happier. When dark outside it gives the truck such a nice look from every angle and in the sun.. it just pops... especially when detailed and waxed . Everyone is different with different tastes (thank the lord) so make your own decision but i strongly suggest you find the patriot blue in person to have a look before you purchase if you have anywhere near the same taste buds as me

There are just too many red vehicles out there, especially where i live. To me, Red is a flashy see me color, where the Patriot Blue is a subtle majestic hue. YMMV.

I agree, I like the red but at the time I ordered that seemed to be all the dealers had along with grey and black. Those are all great colors but wanted something different rather it was a good ‘resale’ color or not didn’t matter to me.

Thanks for the comments and pics. I found that I really like the Delmonico Red and decided to go that route. The Patriot Blue does look great in the sunlight, however.

Well I love my delmonico red. I really want a 392 Charger in their similar color. Every variant of this color is stunning..... and since someone else posted a Yamaha picture, I guess I have to as well lol.

I was in the car business for many years and that was the used car department saying. Red vehicles turned way faster than blue. I hated to see a customer come in with a blue trade-in because I knew that color wasn't going to get the primo trade value. It was the same for new inventory. Reds would always sell faster. When I was ordering the main colors would be red, black and white with a few of the other colors

Both are great colors. I have octane red on my Charger and my wife’s Durango (same as delmonico) so I couldn’t do another red one and went with the blue. Very happy with it.

Wow, I just responded to this choice of colors in the Official 6'4 bed thread. I will copy and paste my info regarding a member in here BThiesings Patriot Blue RAM and add picture of my Delmonico Red ugh tough choice...here is what I posted:

This was my first color choice!!! Reminds me of my Topaz Blue BMW!!! It would have made our driveway the Dodge American flag:

2018--Dodge Caravan GT-----RED (almost matches Delmonico Red)
2000--Ram 1500---------------White
2019--RAM 1500--------------Patriot Blue (but I got the Delmonico Red)

I did not want to wait for build out...so I searched and the Delmonico Red kept growing on me. Then it boiled down to liking them almost equal (edge to the Patriot Blue)....With the options I wanted, the Delmonico Red came home with me.

Absolutely love how your truck looks in the Sunshine....and I am in Florida, so plenty of it. I have only seen 1....yes 1, Patriot Blue driving around here so far. I am not gonna lie I am 99% happy with my color choice...but that 1% regarding the Patriot Blue.....it hurt a little bit when I saw it!!!
