Delay on 5” UConnect

Has anyone else been having lag/delay issues with their 5” head unit? AM/FM channel changes are fine, but adjusting volume, switching to media, making phone calls, or going though the settings menu is delayed by a few seconds. The audible beep is also delayed when the head unit is delayed. I tried searching and did not see any other people with this issue on the 5”.

Yes mine is so slow! I can't stand it. I had same screen in my 2018 ctd and had zero issues. At that time I felt uconnect was so much better than all my previous Fords, but now I don't feel that way.

Yeah my 18 Jeep had the same one as well, and i had no delay issues. I assume it’s software issue. I’m glad I’m not the only one, hopefully they release an update to fix it.

My 2019 is very bad! i have to make sure the sound is down before i shut the truck off so when i start the truck the next day its not blasting for 30 secs while im on the phone trying to turn it down.

Yeah I have the same issue. I just had my unit replaced because it would crash anytime a phone was plugged in to charge. The new unit is slightly faster but still much slower than my previous jeep.

Volume response is delayed when radio is booting (after truck start)
Source change delayed 3-4 seconds.
My 2016 UConnect 5(now the 3) was much snappier.

Ramcare are you there? my carplay doesnt work at all and only force restarts and pops continuously when connected via USB. i have done everything i can think of with my phone, resetting it and all. its a iphone XR, and i have been dealing with the 5" uconnect force restarting when connected over usb for over a year and its quite irritating to say the Least! i have a 2019 ram rebel w/ 5" uconnect and 55k miles . If i take this to dealer, would it be under warranty?
