Any insights on when dealers typically do a price reduction on sitting used or new inventory? Found a limited with most of my preferred options but feel that is over priced. The no haggle pricing dealership refused to haggle :) Been sitting for 3 weeks now.

All depends on how long it’s been sitting for. I scored on a 2020 Laramie crew cab that was sitting on the lot since feb 2020

No haggle dealerships are a joke. From what I'm seeing, inventory is still a bit low. I don't think you'll get the same great deals that people were getting a year or two ago. This is usually the hot time of the year when they are trying to clear out the old stuff. You might need to wait until after Thanksgiving. I think these dealers are selling less trucks this year; so they are holding back on discounting them so they can make some money.

Trucks are in reasonably short supply right now. Dealers will pass on some skinny deals and can wait for higher offers. Yes, 90 days was what dealers want to move inventory within in order to the ability to keep allocation.

Yup, three weeks is not a long time. A full quarter on the books? Then they'll want to move it

Timing can also impact price. I grabbed my latest Ram on 26 September (end of 3rd quarter) on a killer deal and the truck had only been on their lot a week.

My Limited had been on the lot for 4 months, so they were willing to work on the price. My '18 Expedition was on the lot a full 2 months after the '19s had come out, so that dealer was very eager to unload it.

As noted above, all about timing.

It is still true that deals can be made on the last day of the month, IF, the dealer/salesperson is close to making quota/bonus. If it's unachievable, they might not care to give away something just to make a deal.
