I've read about this recently, here is the link from the Jeep Cherokee forum, very similar screen, for them it was after an automatic update....

This was caused by an over the air update that's around a year old. If the update fails badly then it bricks the radio. They can be fixed but not until they release the full version of the software to the masses to reinstall the software on the radio. Dealership can only "fix" the issue by swapping the radio out for a new or used one.
If you upgrade to a different radio then you won't get OTA updates anymore so you'll never had to worry about this happening all of a sudden.
