Does anyone have an actual picture of how DASM is mounted to the windshield?
Is the windshield different than trucks without DASM?

Driver Assistance System Module. Main part of the advanced safety PCKG.
It is bolted to the windshild behind the rear view mirror.
I wan to know if the windshield is diff. than the models with out

Not sure of the dimensions but there is a fairly large space at the back of the rear view mirror which would make sense. Why would the windshield be different?

your best reference will be to call your local glass shop - i once called safelite thinking I had a chip (false alarm) but their designating features which changed part numbers were 1) the ram head logo in the right corner, 2) advanced driver aids pkg (as the black outline area behind the rearview mirror is substantially larger on trucks w/ DASM)

Used DASMs don't work. You cannot program them to your truck.

Used ones work, and can be programmed, that’s all I’ve been using lately.

can you elaborate on how you got them to reprogram and can you tell if they vary from year to year/ trim level. looking to complete the dasm retrofit only write up i found said you had to use new abs pump assy and new dasm.

Well, I'm at this situation right now, trying to decide if new or used with a substantial price difference. Can you elaborate on how to get a used one working?

i highly suggest used, they are a dime a dozen since ram started making them standard in 22 or 23 i believe. their is no difference between 19-24. shopping with lkq 2023 was the cheapest option. if you are trying to add adaptive cruise control the hard part is dealer programming. dealers tend to frown on programming the used module. if you want to invest in purchasing aftermarket witech that is going to be your easiest option but it is not cheap i believe i spent about $500 purchasing the subscription's and necessary dongle. most obd dongles will not work. their is a 78 page( last time i checked) forum of this install.
