I’m looking to purchase a ram 2022 limited 1500 but the dash is all warped and bubbled. The truck only has 53,000 miles on it and is still within the six year powertrain warranty. If I were to buy it, would a dealer be able to replace the dash for me or is there anything I can due to have this job discounted?

The dash is not covered under the power train warranty. So you will want to negotiate a dash replacement into the deal or you’ll be paying for it out of pocket if you’re working with a CDJR dealership. This is a common problem and most people are on their own if it happens after the original 3yr/36k mile warranty ends.

Is this something that I could submit to ram care or would I even be eligible for something like that?

I'm sure you could submit it. The answer is always no unless you try. But as you're not the original buyer of the truck, the chances of getting Ram to cover it are almost non existent. I'm assuming you're not working with a CDJR dealership. Just know that unless there is language in your sales contract saying they will fix it, anything they say verbally is just a tactic to get you to buy the truck.

If you end up buying it, expect to pay a couple grand to have the dash replaced. Or you could check with an upholstery shop to see how much they would charge to recover it.

Both my 2020 RAMs had this issue.. unfortunately I don't think RAM has addressed the issue. I just used 20-23 gauge needles and injected leather adhesive in various spots to get it to glue again. It still looked good after about 1 year before I sold the truck(s).

don't expect any help from ramcares .they do not care. and the next dash will do the same thing. i would replace it with a laramie dash or just not buy the truck

I have a 2019 Ram Limited that I service at the dealership where i purchased the truck. My Service Advisor called RamCare and they did offer to replace it with a $2,500 credit. In the end, I decided not to replace the dash since I didn’t want them to rip it ou. I was worried about figment issues and new squeaks and rattles.

Just noticed that my leather dash is really warping too - 2021 1500 Limited <42K miles - Dealership saying Max Care doesn't cover it. Anyone know best way to contact Ram Cares?
