Current MPG on 2025 i6 3.0 s/o models???

So my worst MPG calculated by hand is 16.9 mostly highway at 75 MPH with four people and two dogs and our stuff. Some wind. Best is 17.9 at similar speeds. I suspect in summer weather with low wind I'll get 18-19 mpg. Again, not terrible considering I'm only paying for regular and moving 5400lbs of truck thru the air. Heading out tomorrow on another road trip so I'll update again but I'm expecting the same result.

so the drive from st cloud/orlando to huntsville al, i am getting 17 MPG. this is me going 5 to 9 over the posted speed limit of 70 with 89 octane. hit some traffic in Atlanta but mostly kept the speed up. having the 33 gallon tank is nice since I only had to fill up once during the trip

Still breaking ours in..... but fuel economy is terrible. 13 around town, and 19 highway. This is in 2wd mode. Hoping it improves soon!

Not too bad. What gear ratio? What trim? My Rebel gets 16-18 highway at 75 MPH on regular 87 octane fuel.

Reading this thread makes me really disappointed in my 2025 Ram 1500 Rebel. I joined this group to see what gas mileage everyone was getting with these engines. It appears Ram is lying when they say nothing is wrong with mine. Because I only get 14 to 15 miles per gallon highway. I have had it in the service department twice since I purchased it and they say they cant find anything wrong. I have owned at least 10 ram 1500 in the last 20 years and this is one of the worst for quality and craftsmanship. Probably be the last 1500 I ever buy. Image.jpeg

Remember it's a Rebel with A/T tires, 3.92 gears, 1" factory lift and Winter blend fuel so none of this contributes to awesome mileage.
My 2023 Laramie with 3.92 gears and 22's got worse overall mileage at 15.61 mpg. The 2025 Rebel overall mileage is 17.42 mpg lowest 15.7 highest 20.1 hand calculated.
Try running premium too that's all I use.

Funny thing, I averaged almost 19 MPG in my HO Raptor with 4.10 gears and 35" tires at 35PSI. My driving habits are the same, the Rebel gets 15-ish.

If your getting that milage in a Rebel, in the winter, in 4wd thats pretty good actually. I just did a 400km highway round trip and averaged 13.5 l/100km which is about 17.5mpg. 20km/h tailwind on the way there and was getting 10-11 l/100km (22-24mpg) and 20-25km/h head wind on the way back getting 14.5-16l/100km (15-17mpg) . Temp was -5C and was going about 120-125km/h, no snow, clear roads and in 2wd. My 22 Rebel wouldn’t match this on the best summer day of its life.

I live in the south, so no snow or 4x4 and I got the same gas mileage in the summer down here. With all the electrical and body fitment issues I had with the truck on top of the crappy fuel mileage. I made the decision to get rid of it last night. Now have a 2023 Ram 2500 Cummins. Drove it about 100 miles already and getting 4.5 miles to gallon better than the rebel. Good news is diesel is cheaper than premium down here! This is the first time in 20 years I haven't owned a Ram 1500. But the absolute crappy quality of the 2025 just drove me away.

How much of a hit did you take trading it in that quick?

Bought a 2025 big horn in July. I tow my camper 7000lbs. First trip through Indiana hills got 10 mile to gallon was impressive. Since the mileage just keeps dropping. Pulled across Missouri got 6.6 miles to gallon. Wish I would have got the hemi again

Actually wasn't to bad with rebates my rebel was just under 57,000 and I got 53,500 trade for it. Of course I traded it to a GMC dealer so I guess they gave more then should have. I got the 2023 2500 big horn with 10,000 miles for 46,400. So my payment actually went down.

Nice! Great win there.

just observed the 4auto light was on in your photo which does impact fuel milage a bit. Congrats on the new truck though, I am a former 2500 cummins owner as well. Great engine if you use it for was it was built for, towing and hauling. While they can get good milage I always found that the bit of savings in fuel economy was easily surpassed but all other associated costs of keeping a diesel heavy duty truck maintained.

Last trip was 338 miles and got 15.8mpg. I drive between NC and GA alot and usually average 14mpg for the trip

2025 Tungsten. 1,200 miles on the truck. Am getting an average of 14.8 mixed driving, but I have a very heavy foot, hitting 85 or higher on a regular basis (I drive on a freeway in the middle of nowhere very often so high speed feels like crawling)

Right at 600 miles on a 2025 big horn. 3.92 gears. 89 octane gas. Dash is showing average of 16.7 mpg. Rural country driving (45-60 mph) with small amount of city.

Plus the payload boost. Comes in handy.
