My 2019 Longhorn has been remarkably quiet, and free from creaks, ticks, wind noise, etc., even when the temperature drops into the 20's. A few weeks ago while driving on a less than perfect road, I started hearing a faint creak/tick coming from the top center of the windshield. I noticed it more the next week or so, only on roads that were not smooth. I figured it was coming from the mirror cover, and when I pressed on it, was able to replicate the exact sound. I removed the cover and panel, added foam pads to the back of the panel so it would'nt move once installed and applied Liquid Wrench Silicone Spray (safe on plastics / paint), then reinstalled. I pressed on the cover, and the creak was gone; however, a tick was evident, so I once again removed the cover. After pressing on everything I could see, I discovered the area causing it. The bracket that supports the camera / mirror is glued to the windshield, and the lower right part where a clip is attached was loose at the very end, causing a tick from the adhesive

Sticking, then pulling away. I made a shim out of cardboard and tucked it in; applied a small amount of glue so it would not slip out, the reassembled a perfectly quiet cover. So if anyone has a creak from that area, that could be the cause.20200307_183520.jpg20200307_183512.jpg20200307_190139.jpg

You have to remove the front "panel" (the one shown with foam pads that I added); I used a spring removal tool ( basically a hook with a "t" handle) pull from the top toward the rear of the truck, then lift up and remove. The main cover just pulls straight down, and has 4 clip attachment points.

UPDATE ON THE CREAK. It was quiet the first time I took it out for a drive; then a few days later it started creaking again. I again pressed on the cover in various areas, and could not get a creak out of it, until I pressed the right side toward the center panel; I then found the creak. I obviously did not use enough foam padding when I modified it originally. I removed the center panel and the old foam padding, then applied adhesive backed felt along each side from top to bottom, along with covering the center to prevent the wire harness from rubbing against the plastic. After reinstalling the panel; it fits nice and snug, and there is no creak.20200315_164823.jpg20200315_164839.jpg

Thanks Mark for following this. Unfortunately, I still detect a slight creak, and will add some felt on a few more areas. Will post again after that with the results.

Of course, @Big White RAM. I will definitely keep following! However, if you end up having to address it with the dealer please be sure to follow up via PM so we can provide you with an additional layer of support for that process!

Okay, so I pressed once again, on various places around the mirror cover and panel; not one creak, so additional felt is not necessory. Today was in the high 60's, and not one creak anywhere in the truck! Obviously when the weather is cold, there is a chance of creaks due to the plastics contracting, however, I'm satisfied that I did resolve the mirror cover issue.
