Installing led bed lights. Since I have the tail lights out is there a constant power I can tap into instead of running extra wire to my trailer harness?
No constant power at the Tail Light.Installing led bed lights. Since I have the tail lights out is there a constant power I can tap into instead of running extra wire to my trailer harness?
How did you install your bed lights? Where did you end up tapping in for power?Installing led bed lights. Since I have the tail lights out is there a constant power I can tap into instead of running extra wire to my trailer harness?
I tapped into the constant power going to the trailer hitch harness. Used a Tee tap connecter. How did you install your bed lights? Where did you end up tapping in for power?
So you just ran that to a switch mounted somewhere in the bed and operate it by that only. No auto on with say Parking lights or cargo lights?I tapped into the constant power going to the trailer hitch harness. Used a Tee tap connecter.
Correct. The only way these lights ever come on is if I turn them on by the switch. So you just ran that to a switch mounted somewhere in the bed and operate it by that only. No auto on with say Parking lights or cargo lights?
I did the same as referenced in the post linked below. Super simple. Took about 30 minutes and I love having control of the bed lights while I’m at the bed.Correct. The only way these lights ever come on is if I turn them on by the switch.
Agreed. No worries of needing your key fob near you and if something getting left on to burn them out.I did the same as referenced in the post linked below. Super simple. Took about 30 minutes and I love having control of the bed lights while I’m at the bed.
