I have a 2020 Laramie 5.7 etorque, crew cab 4x4. 11,700 miles and zero issues. My third Ram, had 2 previous only one small issue. This new generation Ram is so smooth and quiet, absolutely awesome! Great truck wouldn’t hesitate to buy another!

Thank you all for the helpful input. I am excited about the truck and will continue. As I was reading all of the sub forums on this site, I just got nervous with the seemly constant and varied quality control issues. I ordered a Laramie Crew Cab with the 3.0 diesel, 3.21 rear end, 33gal., 20" wheels, along with other various options. Delmonico Red two tone, Mountain Brown interior.
I'm glad to see you've come to your senses. Now do yourself a favor and stop reading forums at least until you take delivery of your Laramie. ;)

You're buying a truck assembled in America from parts made in Mexico. What could go wrong?

The only thing wrong is reading all the complaints about this truck on a forum and believing this is an accurate representation of the build quality of the truck.

The complaints here likely represent less than 1/2% of all Rams 1500s sold

Well if you were happy with Audi/Volkswagen quality, you will have no problem with Ram.

If you don’t want the truck cancel it. I haven’t had any issues. But guess what, it’s like anything else in this world and will fail and break. Especially now days when everything is electronic and plastic. I agree with many who’ve posted that this forum is for answers. This is also coming from a Ford guy whose had plenty of problems with an F150... Explorer....Mustang... Probe... but that’s what you get when you own a vehicle, problems. This is by far my favorite vehicle, until I start having problem with it lol.

Only problem on my 2020 was a small rattle on the drivers door, easily fixed under warranty. Looking to order a 2021, probably a Limited.

My 21 Laramie has been fantastic. It had some quirks but has yet to go into the dealership for any issues. If you have a good car you’re happy with then have fun with it if you’re expecting perfection.

+1.....especially if you're ok with timing belts vs chains, and the outrageous cost of german parts

Hello, new member here. I'm thinking about canceling my recent (last week) order for a new Laramie. I have been reading here, and on other online sources about the abysmal quality control issues with these trucks. It seems that nearly every system has recurring troubles, failures, leaks, software bugs. And it seems that the majority of the problems don't get resolved easily under warranty. I have a late model Audi and everything just works! No issues, no drama. I can't imagine having a vehicle that is constantly having trouble with this or that. It's not just here on this forum, it's everywhere I read about these Ram trucks. This doesn't work, that leaks, the leather cracks in short order, the Nav is miles off, the dealer doesn't fix it, etc., etc.
Are these trucks just crap? For 60-70K? Talk me off the ledge, if you can.
We’ve had no more issues with our Ram than our Audi over the past few years.

People mainly post complaints, not complements. My first year ( Oh the risks of buying a first year) 2019, with 40,000 on it has been perfect. It never has been back to the dealer for anything. I love it.

Ok most people don’t go to a forum to rave about there trucks they go to complain and learn.
So you are going to hear more complaints then are normal on these forums.
I only have 1700 miles on my 2021 1500 but I’m enjoying it very much.
All brands have had difficulties ask the guys buying brand new corvettes and having valve spring issues at low miles.
A new engine is usually what’s required.
Even Toyota has had issues.
Stick in there and decide for yourself.

I have posted it somewhere else on the forum but it bears repeating, RAM sells a ton of trucks. And with anything in volume you will have some issues. I am totally satisfied with my truck and would buy it again.

Every single manufacturer has problems. My 2019 Laramie has had 0 problems. Best of luck! I wouldn’t be spooked! Just my .02¢

My 1989 f150 had about 50 problems. The 5.0 was a great motor tho

I’d stick with the order. I’ve been reading on all the new trucks and guess what they all have issues😩 I had a 19 ram with nothing but problems from day one. After 7-8 trips to the dealers for the same issues and many new parts, I finally forced ram to lemon law it! With that being said, I’ve owned/driven many new vehicles/trucks. I can tell you, when not having issues the new ram is the smoothest, and the most fun to drive out of any of the new trucks! I love the 5.7 hemi wow. I now have a 2021 Laramie with 1000 miles on it and knock on wood no problems yet. However what I’m still upset about is they way dealers and ram reps treated me. Jane from ram cares was the worst. When she tried to tell me my truck was fixed when she was over 1000 miles away on the phone, when Jane said my issues were not resolved because I went to three different dealers. This all after ram employees told me to go to a different dealer, not my fault no one could fix it. Dealers refused me the right to drive a new truck to compare with the issues I was have, that threw a red flag. I was told several times it was fixed, just drive it, as tires wore funny any it had a major vibration issue, tires were balanced 7 times in 8000 miles this truck never went off road, never hit a curb, pot holes nothing. Ram said it was the tires and they don’t cover tires, gave me no direction, said sorry your on your own, this after 10 months and 7900 miles. Independent tire shop said tires were fine, but the rims were all out of round and warped, ram refused to replace rims or tires. They bought it back for full purchase price instead. Was basically told the whole front end was replaced, new drive shaft, new axles, etc etc. finally a ram specialist was sent out and confirmed it was out of spec for allowed vibrations and it was lemon lawed. Finally in the end they treated me very well and I’ve been happy since! Good luck and enjoy your new truck in 10-12 weeks. I waited about 8 for mine was ordered in November of 2020!!

Thank you all for the many positive comments on your own experiences. I did go on a F-150 forum and realized a similar level of complaints were being discussed. I am keeping my order in place and am excited about the truck. This is a good forum with good participants. : )

This is my 3rd truck, a 2021 1500 Laramie.

Out of the 3 trucks I've owned, the one that had the least problems was my least favorite. That was my 1st truck, a 2009 Nissan Frontier. That thing ran problem free up until 140K miles, then it began falling apart.

I then got a 2017 Chevy Silverado, which at 40K miles all of a sudden went into limp mode & spent two weeks at the dealer & after I got it back I had intermittent issue with the infotainment screen.

By far this Ram is the nicest, most bad *** truck I've had & I absolutely love it. The backup camera went black the other day when I got to work, but when I went home at the end of the day it was working fine & has been ever since. I'll keep an eye out for any other glitches, but for now I'm still loving it!
