I've spent the majority of 2 days fooling around with this. I've had the truck for about a year now and hadn't had any time to really fool with it.
I had thought if I went through the entire settings one would find what they are looking for. I've read a lot and I believe I've reset it but who knows 😵‍💫
I have no way of checking the system version etc. so I don't know what else to do. I'm hoping I'm not that stupid but its starting to look that way

Are you talking about the uconnect screen?
try holding the bottom-left and bottom-right corners of the touchscreen for about 10 seconds; this unlocks hidden info like software versions and part numbers, but use with caution as it's for service, not regular use.

I've not tried that mainly because I've not hear of this method. I'll report back shortly. THANK YOU 😁

I'm not sure what everything means but I'm hoping someone could tell me if anything needs to be done 🤪

If you are t having any issues with your radio or anything controlled by the display then I wouldn't worry.
No problems at all. It's me just thinking something needed updating. I've had the truck for 1 year now and never really touched it or spent time learning about it. I wasn't sure if it needed updating or what version I had. What version of uconnect should I have or use. I know nothing about it until today

I updated mine to the most current update, and the only things that changed were, I lost the ability to have the tailgate ajar indication , and lost performance and off road pages

OP has a 2020 so it’s uconnect4. Uconnect5 wasn’t introduced in 5th gen 1500’s until model year 2022.
How can I tell the difference? Is this good, bad or doesn't matter? What should be my next step?

Uconnect 4 is in your truck if it's a 2019-2021 and stock I get notices all the time about updates for the map but have not touched it, and all is good.

Honestly, I don't know if there is anything that says which uconnect version it is (uconnect4 vs uconnect5). But like I said before, any 5th gen model year 2021 and older have uconnect4. Model year 2022 and up are uconnect5. I realize that's what you'd call tribal knowledge, but it's why I haven't bothered researching to see if there's a way to tell the difference for people who do not know that.
