Compass not working

I had this same problem for a while now and my dealer downloaded an update to the Uconnect system which took them 2 hours to download. They installed it and it seems my compass is now work 100% for the last 5 days so far. I think the issue is solved via the Uconnect update.

I have an appointment with the dealer next week for the compass issue. I have noticed on local radio not coming in very clear. Sounds like static sometimes. Has anybody had issue with the radio?

FYI, I read another suggestion in the forum to take a terminal off the battery for half an hour then attach back onto the battery. All my setting were still saved, and it appears to have corrected my compass and GPS issue at least over these last few days.

Just in case: My 2019 Ram owners manual says "Keep magnetic materials away from the top of the instrument panel, such as iPod’s, Mobile Phones, Laptops and
Radar Detectors". I had a ProTrek watch that has a compass, altitude, etc. in the cubby on top of the dash. My Ram compass had the same issues mentioned in this thread. Removed watch, all good.

Strange you say this happened in NM. Each winter through NM to visit relatives in Tucson AZ. In my last 2 trucks I have lost my compass and GPS almost continuously when traveling between Alamogordo and Las Cruces. It happens again when I travel back home.

I've always written in off to little green men trying to get me lost in the desert so they can abduct me without witnesses.
