Codes found on new 2025 1500 Rebel

That sucks, maybe take it to Boerne Dodge instead, they have knowledgeable mechanics that don’t F around. I almost bought from Bluebonnet since they were selling lifted 25’s with ready lift 3” kits and 35” tires lining the front lot of their dealership, and when test driving they were rubbing hard on simple left turns. I had to pull over with the rep and saw that instead of putting the proper size wheels and offset they were cutting the front bumpers to force in 35” tires (well their 3rd party upfit company probably did the work). We got back to the lot and compared to find bumper and trim is a bit different on 25’s than 24’s I’ll give them credit, but they were allowing this across all their new trucks and making ugly cuts that wasn’t solving their issue. I decided to go to Boerne instead and was glad I did, I fully trust that dealer to make good choices for my truck, so far so good.
I took the truck back on Friday to Steel Dodge in San Antonio. Same electronic issues but they were able to identify and fix a few. The remain codes had them and the Ram engineers perplexed. BCM and wiring harness is suspected of being faulty. Have to wait to see if that fixes the problems. If that doesn’t work, I have a priest on retainer to conduct an exorcism.

both batteries need disconnected.

there is a bulletin for this too. I had the bulletin reprogramming done and the cold start misfire seemed to be resolved. Don't have the bulletin number on hand but found out about it in this or the dodge forum.

update... TSB 18-071-24
Did you notice any other benefits/differences following the update? Thanks

Even though I don't like the stumble, I do believe that it is a characteristic of the truck. It seems to happen at the same exact time on every cold start, so I the computer is making a change or something is starting up to cause the motor to make a change. I'm starting to believe that it isn't something that is wrong, but probably something that should have been tuned differently to make it less noticeable with the motor. I'm currently at 4300 miles, and I had it at the dealership last week and they checked it for misfire codes and said that it didn't have any.
They should reflash so torque converter lockup happens later at a little higher speed. There are no rpms and turbos ar not boosting so no power in OD hence the shudder.

Wow after listening to these post in Texas am pretty sure that most if not all tech’s in Texas have limited understanding of this new Atlantis HI network and are not trainned yet on the Atlantis HI network for sure.If you want just a little understanding about why certain VIN’s and modules are available for TSB updates and some trucks are not. Just watch Mopar Tech Jordan troubleshoot a Dodge Charger EV called HellCat Honey..Now you ask what the heck does a 2025 Charger EV got in common with a 2025 Ram 1500 3.0L ICE powertrain well it is quite simple both have the same Atlantis HI network and also have 30 some modules..The one thing is that tech’s do not have the ability to just up load any TSB that someone states to them due to the WiTech laptop authority. The video goes into the idea that each module is a small computer processing with quite a number of communication’s per sec.And also while in sleep mode as well.Hence battery drain issue due to lengthy comm’s between modules and the ECM and the BCM as well.I can not text’s all that I have discovered by going over the information a drivability tech told before he pick up his next ticket..Also one thing I have posted here in this forum is I see owners pull the battery cables off thinking this will somehow resolve their driveability issues it won’t you do more harm then good…As when you do get to a dealership you just confuse the tech even more when he see’s a code “lost of power”...The advice I can give is leave well enough alone. No Auto Zone wizardry is going to solve anything.Except the tech will see an unauthorized connect to the SGW module.Which most tech’s with the help of there hotline have now figured out what customers are attempting to due to clear MIL,or CEL dash warnings. So when you seen the video you will see one thing and that how quick drivability troubleshooting issue are done and how updates are detected for modules uploading and what are available per build date and VIN.Remember one thing a tech told me you can be your own worst enemy..By thinking this next yes next 6th gen RAM truck is like any other you have own.By purchasing this next gen RAM and it is with new powertrain and AtlantisHi you have pretty much seal your fate to a dealership.Good luck to the aftermarket in trying to open the AtlantisHi network…so far they have just worked around the Atlantis via cellular and bluetooth…My advice is get the longest MOPAR warranty outside you can get.Or wait and trade for a 2026 RAM 1500 with a 10 year 100,000 mile warranty truck..

My friend. That would be so much easier to read with some punctuation. 😉
