I just got my very first truck and I’m pretty excited. It’s a slightly used 2019 Limited in Maximum Steel. The main thing I don’t like is all the chrome on it! Wanted suggestions and ideas from you all. Was thinking about blacking everything out. Any examples others have? Also, should I plasti dip, wrap, or just replace them with night edition emblems etc.

I plan to do the same thing here when I get back from a trip. Ordering the night edition emblems. Tow mirrors you can get black plastic I believe.

I have blacked out just about everything besides the inner grill slats (whatever they are called) I'll let you know what the shop I took it to did.

Mirrors, door trims, window trim, door handles, upper, center, and lower grill, RAM lettering on grille all were wrapped in a gloss black.
Hood emblems and ram emblem on the tailgate were all swapped out with new blacked-out emblems (easy to find online/eBay)
RAM on doors was debagged
4x4 and Limited on the tailgate were removed and plastic dipped (over a year later on that still looks perfect) I'm sure i can add a photo tomorrow if you want to envision it.

Cost me approx. 1100.00 CAD. (plus the cost of emblems)

hope this gives you a good starting point, I'm sure there is other ways of going around it such as paint that I've seen others do.

Can't help you with your question. Fortunately, sgk already gave a great response. But I can point out that you have a great looking truck. Blacking out the trim will make it spectacular! Would love to see pics if you decide to go forward with the black out treatments.

I purchased night edition emblems off of ebay when I debadged / rebadged my truck. Yes, it's more expensive. But, it's oem parts and you'll never have to worry about it ever again.

Just get some emblems off of ebay. It will probably cost you $150 total but you'll never have to mess with plasti dipping them again and again when they start to peel.
