On a road trip at the moment with my 2020 Ecodiesel. While driving through some mountains in the rain, CEL comes on. Just picked the truck up a couple weeks ago and I have 1200 miles on it. Seems like it’s chugging DEF, but normal otherwise.

I stop at the next dealer and the service guy scans the code and it’s P020A, cylinder 1 injection timing. He says it takes a lot of work to fix and they don’t have any availability in their schedule until next week. He also says it’s safe to drive though.

Am I asking for trouble driving it the 700 miles it will take to get back home? Should I expect trouble?

Hopefully you made it back safe, I have heard you could have cylinder damage if you let it go for a long time but I have no idea what that time would be or the type of driving needed to create the issue. I would be curious on the amount of work it took.
