Battery goes south. Get jump started and get home. Take out battery and replace it. Now have check engine light on and remote start shuts off after about 20 seconds.
2 months left on warranty, but hate to go to dealership if I do not have to. Don't have a scanner....yet.
Any ideas? Normal for these trucks or not???
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Remote start will shut down if the CEL is on. It may take a day for everything to come back after the battery disconnect

Scram 1500- you were right on. Went to get dinner and thankfully the CEL was off! Thanks for the info. My Chevy's never did this..

For now, the best way is to go to a near mechanic and have your truck scan, this will help you see what's wrong with the engine.
