Changing Channels using Siri and the XM Radio App?

I am trying to find a way to use Siri to change XM radio channels via voice command in a RAM 1500 Quad Cab 2025 with 8.4 radio. My Ram does not have XM built in, I am using the XM app via car play. It seems to work, but only sporadically. Is there a specific Siri command I need to use? Should I connect via bluetooth or USB?

That all has to do with your phone. If Siri can do it, then it should work.

It is an iPhone, not sure of model (not my car or my phone). It seems to work but only occasionally
