Center console trim glare

Know I’ve seen posts, but search didn’t find this.

I have a 2019 Laramie w/Sport. The upper ‘RAM’ horizontal console trim is way too bright. When the sun hits it just right it’s blinding.


Thinking of masking it off and spray it with black Plasti-Dip.

Any thoughts?

Haha. I have the same problem.

My Rebel has more of the carbon fibre look so its not as blinding. When I had my 2014 Outdoorsman the ring around the shifter was chrome and it was really blinding. I went to my local trim place and got a sheet of carbon fibre decal material and put that one there.

Don't dip it! Wrap it with vinyl of your choice, or step up to a custom hydro graphic finish! My nephew does at least 3 a month with vinyl. He just did a Sport with a really high end carbon fiber look vinyl and by far that's been my favorite look.
