For some reason Car Play disappears at times and is heard to retrieve. I will check all settings and everything is as it needs to be. The fix is usually plugging the phone into a port and then its retrieved. Does anyone else have wireless care play issues?

Wireless CarPlay usually connects within 10 seconds of starting my 2025 Laramie using an iPhone 16 with the latest updates. Very rarely, it won't connect, and I plug it in. I think that mainly happens when I start the truck, then exit while it is running and take the phone with me. I believe the CarPlay button is gone at that point. However, it reconnects most of the time wirelessly.

I had Wifi setting on my phone turned off. Got into the car and couldn't figure out, at first, why my CarPlay wasn't showing up. Not sure if this helps you, but make sure that wifi is turned on for your phone.

I had multiple issues when my truck was new. I did a hard reset, holding in the volume and tune knob until it rebooted. I also connected with usb cable, set everything back up, and double checked settings in my phone. It’s been almost a year now without issues. I think it was the hard reset that fixed it for me, but since I did everything at the same time I can’t say for sure. I do know I made several attempts at a “soft reset” through the settings menu without success, so I think it was the hard reset. I’m just glad something fixed it, as it was really pissing me off.

Thank you. I’ll try that.

I also have issues with Wireless Car Play. One of them is the audio will cut off for a split second. Another one I have is that rarely I will have my screen tell me to have my phone within range to be able to connect when I am inside my truck. I have can either connect through Bluetooth or Apple Car Play with a cable

When you did this do all setting disappear and need to be re-set? Radio stations in particular?

I have had issues with my 2026. Really annoying. The last software update a couple weeks ago helped for about a week and now back to issues.

Question - how do you do the hard reset on the 2026 model year?

The last reset I did on mine, that finally seemed to resolve my issues, was holding the volume and tune knob in until it started its reboot. I also went through all my phone settings again, don’t think I changed any, and established a wired connection through the USB as well during the setup. Not sure what it was, but that was almost a year ago after nothing but issues initially.

Prior to that, I had done multiple resets from the system menu, that fix never worked for me for any significant amount of time.

It has been almost a year trouble free now, and no resets since. I don’t remember exactly what was or was not cleared out with that specific reset. At that particular time, I had been through the setup multiple times and could breeze right through resetting anything that may have been necessary.
