Good morning. Quick question that I can not find an answer to after searching this forum. I am going to wrap my tail lights and 3rd brake, I know that I will have to upgrade the bulbs to LED to get a brighter output. Do I have to get bulbs that say "canbus" or can I get any bulb and the load resistor will make sure I don't get an error message?

Thanks
Stephen

I replaced my 3rd brake light and the cargo lights with Sylvania Zevo 921 bulbs. 24.99 at O’rielly’s for 2 bulbs. Love the quality and brightness. No error lights for me. Beet more than a week.

After lots of research I’ve come up with, canbus is for essential lighting only. So the reverse lights and 3rd brake light/cargo light is not on that system. The load resistor will take care of the error messages.
