Can you fold in the side mirrors using the Remote/Key-FOB?

Hello guys,
Is there a way to fold in the side mirrors when you need to, when you are NOT in the truck? On my GMC truck, i could hold the lock button on my key-fob, and the mirrors would tuck in. Is there a key-FOB sequence on the RAM that will allow the same function? I know when you're inside you can hold the button on the door, but is there a way to do the same with the fob when you're not inside the vehicle? Thanks!

If you have powered fold in mirrors you can add the Tazer which as soon as power turns on it folds them out and as soon as it starts either by inside or remote start, it unfolds them.
Visit www.zautomotive.com and look for Ram Tazer

It isn't possible as these trucks are programmed now, but it is certainly possible if someone unlocks the software or if FCA publishes an SDK for the BCM (why not do this, FCA? Make a good product fantastic)

It's a closed minded company that doesn't allow some community based improvements when it comes to software. There are very talented people out there who would correct the bugs and build in new functionality in short order if it was allowed.

I'd like to see options for:

Interior lights on when the engine is shut off (hard to believe this isn't already in there)
Auto-fold or remote actuated fold mirrors
Choose which level of seat heat comes on at start

I'll think of more

Mine does some of those. If it detects it’s cold start it turns on drivers heat seat vice versus when it’s hot for cooled seats.

yep mine too, but it only sets it for high. I don't want it on high ever. Low or medium is plenty for me.

Oh, agree fully.

- I’d like to tweak the temp at which seats come one also. I’m on the cold side, so having to wait for outside temps to be at <40 deg. is no go. Also, option to have it remember last setting would be great, so regardless of temp, have seat cooling/heating come on at whatever setting it was before turning off engine.

- Rear doors do not auto-unlock when putting truck in P, unless you open your door. This is idiotic.

- Full screen Apple CarPlay/Google Auto (I know, never gonna happen)...

- Remove stupid-*** timer from backup camera. This one’s insanely bizarre. Why does the backup camera timeout when shifting from R to D? Sometimes it takes a few maneuvers when backing up, and having to keep hitting the backup camera button to keep it from shutting off is frustrating (and distracting).
There is zero reason for this.. On my Mercedes, it would shift from rear to front camera accordingly (while keeping top view on), and only shutdown when at speeds >6 MHP. This is awesome and what I’d like to see RAM do. Again, wishful thinking...

I have many more but have to get going and I don’t have two hours to list all the pet peeves of mine...

Isn't there an option to make this work that way in uconnect? I think you can set it to unlock all doors in park. I particularly like this so that my kids won't jump out, or if someone bad walks up to the truck they can't open the door when I put it in park.

No, there isn't. Re-read my post...

Not to disparage Tazer and their product, but I sense that if Mopar wanted to, they could reprogram the existing items requested above, fairly easily. I also don't want to buy and add on product right now to this, "technological terror (in a good way) you've constructed."

I think on my GMC, I could hold the fob down and you could either have the mirrors fold in, or the windows crack open, something like that. Seems like also something you could do with the UConnect app pretty easily, but I'm not a computer programmer.

It would be a very easy update to allow for this and many other requested functionality via a software patch. A few lines of code and we're good to go. If they don't want to do it, open the SDK so a third party can and charge for it. I'd pay to add some things I want.

The Tazer also does the windows roll up or down from the key fob (but it is only front windows) which I wish they would also add more to the programming to do the back windows, rear window and sunroof.

I realized I was thinking about my wife's Honda Accord when I said that. Her car you can adjust the locks almost in any way possible.
No worries. All my other cars have this also.

Ok whiny pants, my $81k SRT GC does not even have power-fold mirrors, yet the export SRT model and the lesser Summit and Overland models do....! Ponder that boardroom decision for a few...
