While I was leaving NYC on the Merrit - steady traffic. It went up to 24mpg at one point.

You guys...

I just pulled a 14.5 average over 300 miles of city driving in 90-105 degree heat. My Fuelie average dropped a tenth :(

One day, I’ll hit the open road with this rig. I’ll need to stick to country highways, of course, as anything over 65 will eat at my mileage ;)

Actually, That 20.1 MPG is pretty good for a 5000 lb+ truck with a V8 Hemi in it. Does your truck have the E-torque engine? My truck has the non E torque Hemi in it.
The best I averaged so far is 18.9 mpg on a 250 mile round trip (Mostly turnpike driving with the A/C on doing 75-80 MPH).
During mostly stop & go driving, I average 13.8 MPG. All of this is while running on 89 octane fuel. I've noticed I average about 1.5 mpg better mpg than running on 87 octane. The verdict is still out on weather it's cost efficent to pay the extra .50 cents a gallon to achieve 1.5 mpg better fuel economy.

Yes mine has no e torque. I get 18.5 on day to day driving in El Paso. This is my second fill up so time will tell. I have been trying to keep my foot out of it. That’s the hard part.
True test will be my trip to potter county pa in November for deer season. Should be about 4500 miles round trip plus hunting miles.

In and break the 13s but it’s 100% in town.

Best I have seen on the highway is 18.5 but out west we have a flow of traffic at 75-85 so I’ll take it

Funny, I get the best mileage on the Merrit going north too! What is it about that road???

I love that drive. It’s pretty too. Way better than 95. Although my honey and I were on 95 on a late Friday morning outside Greenwich/Stamford in back to back stopped traffic and we crossed 3 lanes of traffic like Moses parting the sea. We both were highly inpressed

I attributed this to the menacing look of a black SP & ORP - everyone just gtfo out the way haha

We started laughing asking ourselves “how did that happen?”

Dang 25 cents difference? Upstate NY it's almost a dollar to 1.05 from 87 to 89

3.92 gear ratio will see around 2000prm at higher speeds (which definitely sucks gas)
