Cabin Air Filter Replacement installation question....

I know there have been folks that have changed their cabin air filter and mentioned it was a pain. I noticed when my etorque kicks in at a stop the air can become musty smelling. So I thought I would try changing the cabin air filter. After doing some research and looking online, I could only find one link that actually had a 2019 Ram they were changing the filter on. All the previous models had a slit on each side so you could move the stops and drop the glove box. The 2019 Ram only has one on the right side for a small stop. The left side is a large stop and the glove box is solid (without a slit) so it seems almost impossible to move the stop in to drop the glove box. In the video attached, even though they say push on both sides, they don't do that. They lift the glove box more to the closed location and pop the glove box off. I tried that as well and it just doesn't seem to want to let go so I can remove the glove box.

Does anyone know the correct way? The folks that have changed their filter, did you push the left side in to drop the glove box? Let me know what you all think of how they do it in the video.

I am not endorsing the company in the video. They just had the best install video.

Did you see this video. Seems pretty straight forward.

Never mind LOL. This video must be an older model limited because I went out to my truck and found the same problem you did with the tabs.

Im in the same boat as you guys. Did you by chance find a video that showed a glove box like yours removed? Thanks in advance

It may be "difficult" but just like the video :
1 - open the box
2 - remove the "string"
3 - press inwards on the right side and pull box out/down
4 - press inwards on the left side and pull box out/down

Limited / Laramie all the same (has upper and lower glove boxes)

I did mine last month. It wasn't too bad. The filter was really dirty. I just followed a YouTube video someone made.
