Buying a new house. Will my truck fit?

Can't back in unfortunately. As it is I have to hug the wall to give enough space between the cars and fold in my mirror to get past the door frame. Wouldn't be able to get out! 🤣 Wife's side of the garage also has a step on the side (as well as front) so it limits how far she can pull over too.

(Don't even ask about swapping sides! 😬)
When I lived in South Florida, my garage would barely fit my Tacoma if I backed in. I had to do the over-the-console shuffle to get out of the passenger door every afternoon. You get used to it...

Anyone know the height to shark fin with air suspension fully raised? I forgot that I was in OR2 and had a close call today!

Of course, it will fit. I live in Germany. Garages here are oddly sized. You can fit a couple of bicycles approximately. I bought my car last week, but I couldn't park in my new garage. It was so dumb, I didn't even think to measure the garage beforehand.

Now I have to rebuild the whole garage! Damn! Germany is weird but interesting. If you ever decide to move, look here. I can give you advice and help if you need it.

I'm thinking of starting a couple of threads about my observations about cars in Germany. You can ask me a question, and I'll write a post.

Do you know if that includes the shark fin?

Speaking from experience with a TRX (different truck, I know): The specs say 80.9" and my truck is 81.75" to the top of the shark fin. So there's almost a 1" difference between the spec and the actual height.

If you lift the rear it’s going to affect it a lot more than leveling or raising the front. Here is how much clearance I have in a 7’ garage at work. We have an 8’ one as well. I went really slow and made sure the fin cleared the bar before I entered but I did NOT like going under the beams at all. It seemed like it was going to hit. I’d say it was a little more than half the height of the fin as far as how much space there was. It was close. I went like 5mph and left that one and back to the 8’. I’ve got a RC 3.5” plus 2” rear and 34” tires

Yeah, that's uncomfortably close. This type of thing is another reason I like having air suspension. I have to admit, even with my suspension all the way down, I still find myself ducking my head a little when I go under each beam. 😁

I was doing the exact same thing. I considered this lift when I was in a 6’8” garage at work and realized it wouldn’t work. Saw a guy in there in a stock raptor burning through the beams and I asked him one day how much room you have? Aren’t you afraid of hitting a bump and causing it to bounce? Him: “No not at all. There is at least 2” or a little more. I’m good.” No way I’d feel comfortable w that driving like 15-20 mph in there

We just built in NE TX last year. I had to sacrifice a bedroom in order to extend the length of the right side of the garage. I have big-*** Harley Road Glide Ultra, my '21 Limited, and my wife's Equinox. Although, I was able to everything in, it's still plenty tight. 20' wide, 32' deep (on the long side), with a 16' x 8' door.

I don't know the answer to this question. I haven't seen your house, and I don't know how big your truck is. Still, I know who might help you- an expert. Professionals in this field can tell you how to stage your home and if your truck will fit in it. If you live in big cities, there are options like san Francisco home staging. Personally, I only trust people who are specialists and never simple users of such forums. That's because I can't consider them trustworthy, so I can't take their advice. Don't lose your time and get the most reliable advice from a professional.

Well that's just plain dumb. This question is 2 years old, the guy said what size garage and what kind of truck he had. I actually hope you're a spam-bot and not a real person, because damn son if you are I don't know what to say...

Nice garage!! Looks like you need to spend some time on The Garage Journal, that space has all kinds of potential!

Not saying I want to build my own house from scratch, especially at today's prices. But if ever I had enough land to build my own garage:

I pulled into my driveway, and someone had painted a large number 3 on my garage door.

I thought, “That’s odd.”

If you ever find out who did that, you should paint “2” on their door, to make it even.
