Have a scrape down to the metal on the bumper of my Rebel. Any suggestions on a fix - does that Rustoleum Bumper and Trim paint work? Or maybe Plastidip or even a bedliner spray? I can't find any official touch up paint for the bumper, just the main pearlcoat. Thanks!!

It's powder coated so you would have to get it re done powder coated or try the bedliner spray probably won't match but would be close.

Bumper is going to eventually take some action. You can experiment with rustoleum. They make some great stuff, try a satin black. Very light coats. Do several. They also make a bedliner spray which I haven’t tried but might be closer to a powder coat. If you don’t like the match you can try spraying over the entire bumper and if you don’t like that, maybe go have it line-x’d

Thanks for the responses guys. I had to swing into the dealership to warranty my steering wheel for sun decay from sitting on the lot today and swung over to the bodyshop for advice. They were also dumbfounded as to exactly how to fix it. The fact it's textured and applied directly (as opposed to a plastic panel over steel), they didn't have anything to match. I too thought it was powder coated, but they didn't think so.

He even looked up the parts from Mopar and said the bumper is relatively cheap, but there was no info about touch up like usual and there was a real possibility it could arrive unfinished, so without said notes - they wouldn't know how to finish it to match factory.

I understand it's a new model year, but this seems a bit odd. I haven't been able to find any Mopar touch-up or solution for a bumper scrape, even though it's a 2019. The guy at the shop grabbed a senior tech and he applied some Wurth Satin Black Trim spray paint from a cup with a small brush. Turned out decent and considering the location, it's not noticeable unless you are looking for it.

These guys were great and didn't even charge me anything for the consult or touch up. There was also a scuff to the right I didn't see initially that he applied some Wurth Rubber Care to and it's virtually gone as well.

Hmmm says right in the brochure front and rear powder coated bumpers. Won't be the first time that they don't know their own products. :ROFLMAO:

I was thinking the same thing, but maybe he was just trying to say that wasn't needed for this fix. They didn't handle powder at this shop and the one in town only handles parts and full coating - so I would have needed to remove and redo the whole thing.
