Hello, I was just reading through my build sheet and noticed that it didn’t have anti-slip differential. I thought that’s what I ordered. But after double checking, I found that I sent Aaron the wrong build. I did a couple of different builds on the Ram website but sent the one in without having the anti-slip differential. Is it possible to have the dealer add it when it comes in or will it make a huge difference? I am in Texas with it weather and It’s a Limited 4x4.

Yea it could be added, but won’t be cheap. If they just ordered the truck maybe they can amend the order before it’s actually built?

Yea, it too late to add it. After researching it doesn’t seem like it will make too much of a difference for my intended use. I will not be hauling anything or off-roading. Just daily driving in the Dallas Fort Worth area.

I've had 2 4x4 with open diff in MN and had no problems. If it was a 4x2 I would maybe be upset but a 4x4 with 4auto and the advanced braking/traction systems it shouldn't even be an issue. Just focus on the idea it is one less thing to break! My new truck has the anti slip and it may be nice in winter when in 2wd but I don't know if I would have included it in a order.

You'll be fine for that kind of driving. The only thing that might affect you will be when you go to sell or trade it in. Even then it should be negligible.

I drove my last truck for 3 winters in pacific northwest weather without it and never had any issues. I did have an electronic locking rear diff, but I never once locked it LOL.

most of the trucks on dealer lots here in MN have the conventional diff and I had no issues with resale on either of my trucks. 90% or more of 1/2 ton truck buyers don't even now there are options of differences for diff, axle ratio etc. hey want a crew cab, short box and 4x4.
