What’s up y’all, I have a 2020 Ram 1500 Built to serve Edition (I love it!) but recently my visor broke while using it normally. Now when I’m driving it will randomly swing open and completely block my vision on the Road super dangerous. Does anyone know if this is something warranty can cover or have your experienced anything similar?

Warranty will cover if your still within 3yr/36k.

I bought my own. $100 in the mail in 6 days. Install 5 mins.

You can also buy the repair clip on Ebay. I was out of warranty and figured I would try the clip fix to see if worked and so far its been fine.

I soldered a wire the last time I cut it accidentally.

You know theres a connector right?
Yes it frayed from me beating on it and eventually just fell off before the connector. Same thing happened to the passenger. Beat on it for a year lol. Now when the passenger one falls out I just put it on the seat because I need it for my sunshade.

The day I picked my truck up I was amazed how cheap those visors were and knew immediately they would be a problem. They were WAY better on my 4th Gens.

Just another cost cutting measure to screw the consumer since most will break out of warranty. Sure there’s a fairly cheap fix available but it’s ridiculous that even needs to be considered.

My 2020 Ram did the same thing. fell into my lap while driving. I have the kit $14 Canadian on amazon but i have 3 wires sticking out of the visor that need to be re attached. Not sure why 3. The plug up inside has a brown? black and gray wire which show 12v between the black and grey. The gray is plus. On the visor the 3 wires that disconnected are red, black and blue. Which should go where? Why does it need 3 wires? There's jut the mirror lights and the garge door controller. Anyone have access to a wiring diagram? or know which wire goes where?

So I used the kit I got and it does hold the visor. Not sure why I got 4 screws and they were counter sink but the bracket wasn't and it came in 2 pieces. I designed my own as one piece with counter sunk bracket and 3 printed it in PETG. Seems to be working OK so far. Not sure how to attatch the SLT file so I'll post where it's available. Still haven't figured out the wiring. Guess it will be trial and error and hopefully I don't blow the garage door opener board. (not that I use it anyway)

Here's a pointer to the stl file. Dodge Ram Broken Visor holder by wrayt59

I just replaced my driver side visor....2nd one! Just a really poor design.

It's the pivot hinge right? They are a bad design for sure. I replaced mine. If you swing it to the side window for glare from the left, make sure you go easy on it. That's what broke mine in the first place.

Yes the plastic part snaps in and holds it in place broke and it all done after that.
