Decided to take brakes apart today. Check pad wear, lube pins etc.
Truck is 2.5 yrs old, 70,000kms (a lot of highway).

All pins moved smooth as butter. As a result pad wear was amazing with lots of life left. Rotors have a bit of rust near the outside edge.

I was thoroughly surprised. Most other vehicles I’ve driven have needed a brake job at this point.

45000 miles. Plenty of pad left!

Brake wear will always vary
 
I just don't use them at all....hoping to get 1,000,000 miles before my first brake job.

I have a Grand Cherokee with 104,000 miles on it. Still has the original pads.
