Both Bed Steps

Has anyone tried installing both the center bed step and the side bed step. I have the split tailgate and the center step is useful, but would really like to have the side step when i have the full tailgate down

Somewhere on this forum it was done. However there were modifications done to be able to do the 2 bed steps together. I do not recall the modification procedure or title of the thread.
