Hi Everyone...

I just added some 1.5" spacers to my truck to complete the look I wanted. Unfortunately, the spacers + the 35" tires don't exactly fit as nice as some people might claim they do. Without the spacers, I had to zip-tie my wheel well liners to avoid rubbing. And even then, in reverse, sometimes something would rub. I wasn't able to figure out what.

With the spacers, we had to remove the rear mud guard and trim some of the metal behind the front tires. Below is a picture of what I'm left with. I do a lot of snow driving and some off roading. I need to protect this area of the truck. Do you think some of this:

in the top gap plus the body channel along with some bed liner spray over the foam as a top coat be sufficient to prevent crud and corrosion in this area?

Sorry, I don't have any alternative solutions at the moment, but avoid using spray foam. I'm not familiar with that specific one, but most of those absorb and trap water, and will cause the very thing you're trying to avoid. You need something impervious to water to cover that area, or leave it open and just clean out the dirt and leaves that will collect there periodically. Unless you can completely seal it up, you probably at least want to provide a way for any water that gets in there to get out.
