This is my third Ram and I can’t say I’ve ever really had a bad experience with any of them, however one common thread across both the 1500 and 2500s has been the absolute garbage quality of the software and the never-ending parade of irritating bugs.

This one’s new to me:

Blinked for a thirty minute drive. Cleared when I restarted the truck.

Get used to it (garbage software), it's the wave of the future.

I work in software, and have for nearly 30 years. The pressure is to write software fast and get it to market, and then fix the bugs later.
Testing is often limited to the core and crucial functions, or in a time crunch, severely curtailed.
If we don't do that, our competitors will and they'll eat our lunch.
There are some industries (banking, healthcare, aviation) where longer development cycles and higher prices are tolerated for better quality.

"Back in the old days" software patches were mailed to clients on diskettes. Today it's an automatic download, so the cost to patch is much lower, with less incentive to make it right the first time.
There's more to it, but that's the simple answer.
