Blacked out skid plate

Will do mine shortly! Thanks for sharing.

Anyone here had their skid plate blacked out? Just wanted to see if there’s any before I do mine. Planning to blackout the whole face including the RAM letterings.
Have an appointment with my body shop to have the skid plate and RAM emblem painted flat back to match the bumpers on my Rebel on July 15th. Charging me $120 to disassemble, paint and then reassemble. Couldn’t beat that price. Keep you posted once done.

I did mine with plastidip, wheels, badge, and skid plate. Love the look and it’s held up very well.

Getting my wheels powder coated next week to make them permanent, and will likely keep dipping my skid plate as needed.

Looks amazing. I will want to powder coat my wheels also. Does the place you are going to do the wheel removal also? I’m trying to figure out the logistics of getting my wheels removed and storing a truck with no wheels. Curious how you are doing it.

Thanks man! Yeah the place I chose here in DFW will do full dropoff service - they’ll remove the wheels, tires, and store the truck on site while they do it. ~1.5 day turnaround. Going with this 10% gloss finish called denim black:

More skid plate pics - plastidip holds up very well

Did you remove the skid plate or just plastidip it still attached? How did you get into the seams without it tearing ?

I dipped it still attached. I just masked everything with blue masking tape and butchers paper; put the tape in all of the panel gaps horizontally and

I’ve still been wanting to go see about linex, but concerned it won’t look right. The plastidip looks good, but I think it will fade pretty quick.

I went to linenX and Rhino and both said they can’t color match to the black trim on my Rebel. So I went to a body shop friend and he is doing it for me in paint match.

Just picked up the truck after the Skid Plate and RAM emblem were painted.
