Hi. New to the forum. Totalled my 14 Big Horn. Just bought a 19 Big Horn crew. I know it's personal prefference. Does anyone have black steps with chrome bumpers and grill. Any pics?

I do but I don't have any pics at the moment - I can post later this morning. I have a '20 Big Horn CC as well, it is "black pearl" with chrome and I have black step bars (not OEM though).

20221021_130504.jpg This is what I have. Was thinking black won't POP as much and still give truck a good. Look. Plus I thought I might get painted bumpers down the road.

I think these SS OEM boards would look good with your wheels and chrome bumpers. BUT many will disagree, chrome is not so popular these days.

True. This is my truck that got wrecked. Very sad . I put on the wheel to wheels. I think it complimented it well. But like you said some will disagree. That's why I'm looking at black. Just didn't know if it would clash. And I do like the wheel to wheel.

These came on my truck when I got it. The plain black doesn't show up as bad as chrome which I like since i don't like the look of steps hanging down. IMG_5990.JPG

It's not a Ram, but I replaced the chrome side steps with black ones on my 2008 Tundra. It looked even better when I got black wheels.

Thanks. I'm liking and feeling the same wat with pkman. When the steps aren't as noticeable. The truck still has a nice look. Not necessarily grounded

I think the black blend in more to the point you can't see them from a distance and give the truck a higher look then chrome which stand out more.

I think black looks great on a dark truck, chrome bumpers or not.

If you really don't want to see them, have you considered power? More expensive, but pretty much disappear when doors are closed. 20220904_074202.jpg

What's on yours?
If you were asking me, I have the Mopar power steps. I love them. Don't usually care for the look of side steps, and while they're still vulnerable they do tuck up closer than most others.

I have the mopar power steps and they’ve quit working. Everyone I’ve talked to here in Minnesota says they crap out after a few years. I’m getting regular fixed ones
