I feel like the oil filter on the 2019+ 1500s 5.7 are way too small for the size of the engine.
I drive with a heavy foot and wouldn't want the engine to not get enough oil in time due to the filter being half the size of filters I use in a v6.

What is the biggest\best filter we can put on without doing a filter relocation?

I have always used K&N but I see lots of people use Wix and just regular Mopar branded ones.

Thoughts?

The same filter used on the 4tg gens is bigger and just fits. Don't think you will be able to get anything bigger on

I've had two oil analysis done on the two oil changes I've had on my truck, off-roading often on dusty roads, both reports mention specifically how well my oil filters are working due to the low concentration of solutes (dirt) in the samples.

My buddy has a Lambo with a big V10 motor, the oil filter on that one is even smaller than ours. I don't think the oil filter size or capacity is an issue at all.

That being said, you can use the 899 which is a larger filter if it makes you feel better. I think a bigger benefit is using high quality synthetic oil at every 5,000 miles.

I believe the 899 is what was linked above.
I do oil changes around 5k miles only use full Syn. I also live in a clean area, I get snow/salt but no sand/dirt/dust.
Is the 899 the "old" filter used before they used something smaller to fit without moving it on the new engines?
