Best side steps/running boards/nerf bars that preserve breakover angle?

Got my truck without steps/running boards/nerf bars to keep the max breakover angle. Problem is the rest of the family has a hard time getting in and out of the truck. Lets see what you have installed that doesn't eat up too much of my breakover angle. Also I don't have a budget for power steps.

GoRhino Dominator D6. They've made getting in and out so much easier.

Looking across from the rocker panel level, the skids and suspension arms are lower than the step, so effectively no loss of breakover. The bottom of the steps are about 3-ish" (didn't measure) lower than the bottom of the rocker panel, but again, other things hang down further than the steps.

Any "flat" step that mounts tight to the rocker panel should be fine, unless you're doing some rock crawling. But that's what sliders are for.

You can also look at the Mopar off road style , they’re nice and close to the rocker panels

That's my biggest regret about the Tyger Star Armour steps. They have a bar that hangs lower. I did not realize this from pictures before I got them. If I had the budget I would have gotten the Go Rhino D6's or RB20's.

How much did those eat into your ground clearance?

Not much because the diff is lower but on the side I would say maybe 1-1 1/2 inches. I have never hit them when I am on the trails or going into my hunting camp.

I did the ram mopar off road bars. Pricey at $750 but thats what I wanted. Tucked up pretty nice. My skid plates are lower than the boards.
