Here are a bunch of pics showing the skeleton and parts found under the bed.....This $4000.00 bit of work as a result of a labrador retriever deciding to run into the side of my truck and bend the bed panel in front of the pax rear wheel and putting a dent into the body behind the rear door....

4K ouch! Hopefully no deductible needed. Thanks for posting these. Gives perspective on space available and what is where under the bed.

Wow. My shock is that in only cost 4 grand. Seriously, that's nothing for the amount of work shown here.

How was the dog after?
I stopped about 20 yards after he hit me, and he was down right where he hit the truck. His paw was bleeding, I suspect it was run over. He was alive at the time they took him to the vet.

state farm estimate shows about 800 in parts (all OEM, no 're-pop' crap) ... $389 for the bed panel, 152 for the bed rail, 112.00 for the wheel opening moulding, 460 in paint (Axalta) and about $100 in trim mouldings etc. labor of 2600.00 and 49.6 hours of work. They will be removing the rear door to paint/blend it as well as paint the door jambs and sills. Really going above and beyond what I was expecting. State Farm has been great with making sure the truck is back to OEM or better.

The 'To - Do List', plus state farm will reimburse me for getting the new paint work re-ceramic coated once the paint cures in 2-3 months. Another pleasant surprise when they said no problem with covering the ceramic pro work.

LOL, the dog can read! He saw "RAM", and said "OK!"

State Farm had always been great for us about this kind of thing--fixing it right instead of cheaping out. We only switched to USAA because after we moved to where we live now, our local State Farm agent was an a55hat. USAA has been really good as well.

I read "dog ran into the side of my truck" then "hear are a bunch of pics showing the skeleton and parts".... I was intentionally not looking at the pics thinking "this piece of sh*t is posting pictures of a dog that ran under his truck!" Glad I was wrong. This makes more sense after looking at the pictures. The way it is worded makes it sound like this thread is about to get dark!

I would look into a diminished value claim if thats available in your state. I have an Audi Q8 (worst purchase ever) I bought in May. Had 400 miles on it when some *** hit the rear wheel while making an illegal turn, because of insurance claim made and mark on Carfax, immediately took a 15% loss in value according to an attorney specializing in Diminished value. Unfortunately in my state NY it is not recognized. The attorney told me if it was NJ I would be getting at least 15% back since it was so new. Would have definitely made a difference for me since the vehicle is the biggest POS ever made.
