Bed lamp kit

Do you have some tips on removing the wiring harness? I tried to remove the driver side and it was a pain. I couldn't remove it.
Would removing the spare tire helps? What tab to I press to release the wiring harness? I got all the parts and ready to install. but couldn't do it because I cant remove the wiring harness.

To get the passenger side you definitely need to at least lower the spare tire several inches, don’t need to remove it all the way.

The driver side I remember being pretty easy. What part were you struggling with? Unplugging the harness? I think I had to lookup how that unplugs. Or removing those pesky clips that hold it onto the frame? For those you just gotta really pry with a crowbar or flathead. Don’t really have to worry about damaging them because the new harness has them.

@adrixe Here’s some pictures of the driver harness. To release it you have to pull the yellow tab up (so that it is level with the red clip), then pull the whole red clip to the side.

Thank you for this! I will try to work on mine.

Adding to the post above ^. I just did OEM bed light install on my '24 Big Horn using that thread. I can't answer as to if that kit you posted will work, but I can tell you the parts I ordered. In addition to these, you will need AlfaOBD software, a security bypass cable, and an OBD2 tool.

68488851ABJumper Wiring, Left RAM 1500 DT (2021-2024) Mopar OEM$43.53
68523847AAJumper Wiring RAM 1500 DT (2022-2024) Mopar OEM$48.56
68618373AALift-Gate Lamp, Left RAM 1500 DT (2019-2024) Mopar OEM$40.23
68312566ABLift-Gate Lamp, Right RAM 1500 DT (2019-2023) Mopar OEM$25.73

The install using these parts was very easy. Just a matter of popping the lights in, replacing a stock cable near the driver-rear bumper with one of the cables ordered, replacing a stock cable above the passenger-rear bumper (runs underneath the spare tire) with the other cable ordered, then updating settings using AlfaOBD. Takes maybe an hour, and they came out great.
You have any issues with the tailgate lock not working afterwards?

Just installed mine on a 2024 1500 Limited. I heard much of the same since the dealer usually just types in your VIN when you ask. Dealer parts person told me the "AB", "AC" and "AD" on the parts numbers are all the same "just concession numbers". (I searched this so many times I just about memorized the part number). I ordered the bypass module and OBD Genie Programmer from Infotainment.com. The instructions in the OEM kit were pretty simple for install. Infotainment also has a decent video for install as well. Works just as good as OEM - lots of high-fives in the garage after install with a few walks to the garage just to turn them on and appreciate the success. Good luck!
Just to clarify, the last two letters on parts are basically version codes. so they build a widget and give it the part number 12345678AA, then they decide to change a tiny part in the widget, and so after they make the change the part number becomes 12345678AB. then they want to save money on the part and remove a brace, now its 12345678AC. Whatever the date your vehicle was built will dictate which version code yours will be.

Many but not all parts with the same first eight numbers but different version code, will work in any vehicle. Sometimes there will need to be another change to your vehicle for it to work correctly.
