Hello All,

Looking to add the OEM bed lamps in my 2024 1500 Big Horn. From everything I have looked at and researched the lighting kit from Mopar 82215795AC will work in the 2024. However a call the to the dealer parts department and they said the lamp kit for the 24's is not available yet. Can anyone confirm or has anyone already installed this kit?

Thank you,
Tommy

"Mopar LED Bed Lights Install?"
I don't know if it will answer the '24 fitment question but I'm going this route with my '23 once the weather warms up a bit.
It looks way easier than running a wiring harness up the entire length of the truck.
Good Luck.
Tommy

That part number says it is for 4th Gen.
Not sure if it would fit 5th Gen, likely a different part number. 2024 beds and 2019 are the same (as long as it's not classic)

I've ran those part numbers on the Mopar parts web site and if it does not fit the year you entered it will redirect you to the part that will fit your year if it exists

Here's the thread Nascar Tommy is referring too. I went this route on my 2021 and I agree with Nascar Tommy that it was easier and less expensive than the Mopar kit. Rather than running a wire the length of the truck you only have to replace a few feet of wiring at the back of the truck to each tail light.

Mopar LED Bed Lights Install?

Adding to the post above ^. I just did OEM bed light install on my '24 Big Horn using that thread. I can't answer as to if that kit you posted will work, but I can tell you the parts I ordered. In addition to these, you will need AlfaOBD software, a security bypass cable, and an OBD2 tool.

68488851ABJumper Wiring, Left RAM 1500 DT (2021-2024) Mopar OEM$43.53
68523847AAJumper Wiring RAM 1500 DT (2022-2024) Mopar OEM$48.56
68618373AALift-Gate Lamp, Left RAM 1500 DT (2019-2024) Mopar OEM$40.23
68312566ABLift-Gate Lamp, Right RAM 1500 DT (2019-2023) Mopar OEM$25.73

The install using these parts was very easy. Just a matter of popping the lights in, replacing a stock cable near the driver-rear bumper with one of the cables ordered, replacing a stock cable above the passenger-rear bumper (runs underneath the spare tire) with the other cable ordered, then updating settings using AlfaOBD. Takes maybe an hour, and they came out great.

Why does the left lamp cost more than the right lamp?

The Mopar 82215795AC you listed is not for 5th Gen1500s. They are for 1500 classics or 2500/3500.

The Mopar kit for 5th gen 1500s is 82215272AD

Why does the left lamp cost more than the right lamp?

The right one is just the light, but the left one is a light with on/off switch that controls both lights.

Just installed mine on a 2024 1500 Limited. I heard much of the same since the dealer usually just types in your VIN when you ask. Dealer parts person told me the "AB", "AC" and "AD" on the parts numbers are all the same "just concession numbers". (I searched this so many times I just about memorized the part number). I ordered the bypass module and OBD Genie Programmer from Infotainment.com. The instructions in the OEM kit were pretty simple for install. Infotainment also has a decent video for install as well. Works just as good as OEM - lots of high-fives in the garage after install with a few walks to the garage just to turn them on and appreciate the success. Good luck!

Just verifying that you did install on a ‘24 MY? Wanting to add to my ‘24 Laramie so just double checking these 4 parts is all I need to order. Thanks!

Yep installed on a 2024 1500 with those 4 parts

Can't wait to figure out how to do this to a 2025! I have a feeling a lot has changed on this new model. :(

Do you have some tips on removing the wiring harness? I tried to remove the driver side and it was a pain. I couldn't remove it.
Would removing the spare tire helps? What tab to I press to release the wiring harness? I got all the parts and ready to install. but couldn't do it because I cant remove the wiring harness.

What obd tool did you use?

… and used the WiFi option to connect to a Windows PC where I had the AlfaOBD installed
