You could check WeatherTech as they have a hard tri-fold for the 5’7” bed with Rambox.

however get it from say LineX and save on the shipping

The sharp edges where the rails meet the tail gate? I'm surprised at how aggressive they are. Anyone have thoughts on how to make it safer?

Has anyone else had an issue with the Retrax Pro MX and having to slam the tailgate to get it to shut after installation? The bed rail end caps seem to stick out beyond the stock ones, and I can't figure out how to fix without taking a hacksaw to the bedrail.

I have a Truxedo Sentry CT on my 5'7" Rambox truck and I like it. It looks like a soft cover but is constructed of aluminum slats perpendicular to the length of the truck. So it's pretty secure and you can just roll it up and out of the way when you need that. Seals pretty well too.

I have the Bakflip tri fold. Had the Truxedo on my F150. They both have their pros and cons but overall the Bakflip wins.

Popp,

What is the rack? Something custom? How did you affix to the truck? I’m looking for a ladder rack solution and as we all know, rambox solutions are far and few...

No troubles with mine. Have you loosened your clamps and shifted the cover towards the front? You should install with 1/8” gap between the rails and tailgate. I’m not sure if you did your install or had it done, but it sounds like you may need to make an adjustment. Hopefully that’s all it is, anyways.

I do wish it didn’t interfere with the ramboxes tho.

I went with the undercover ultra flex. Similar to the bak4 I believe. Needed something that went with ramboxes & multi function tailgate. I like it so far. Everything functions as it should & I can still slide my tie downs. View attachment 58945 View attachment 58946 View attachment 58947

The Ultra Flex looks like a nice product, thanks for sharing it. Would you be able to flip up the cover and show take some closeups fron the rear to show how far the attachment hardware & drain trough protrude past the Ram Box tie-down rails?
.
Also, how much did it cost?
.
Thanks!

Just added this LoMax hard tonneau cover to my 19 Limited. Shopped a long time and I’m very pleased with the quality and convenience of this cover. The new black urethane finish and ease of removal sealed the deal for me. Ram boxes still easy to access and cover seals are tight. Can’t say enough about the customer service at Agri-Cover in North Dakota. They proudly stand behind their products.

Custom built. Attached using same bolts that hold the track mounts. Here is the link

I got it from peter at tonneaucovered.com, they quoted me $859.99 but it was a little more b/c of the ramboxes. It did ship free direct from the manufacturer who was much more helpful than the company I bought it from. I did some googling & it was the cheapest price I found.
I’ll take some pics soon, I’m plastidip/bed lining the silver skid plate black so it’s backed in the garage(barely fits).
It did come with some pieces of rubber to almost totally seal the areas by the tailgate. Been through some decent rainstorms & the car wash & so far no water in the bed.

Thanks for that info.

Any concerns with cover noise while driving? I’ve never had a fabric cover. Not necessarily against going that route, just as long as it doesn’t flap in the wind and become obnoxious.

Sounds like you scored a great price. That link has then at $500!
no noise so far

Thanks for all of the replies, guys.

I ended up finding a used Retrax MX Pro at a price I couldn’t pass up. Such a nice cover! I would have preferred the Matte, but actually really ended up liking the gloss on my black truck more than I would have guessed!

The silver rails come off & the black tracks slide in behind them. The factory bolts are reused & this holds the rails to the top of the bedsides. The sliding rail tie downs are still functional.
