Can someone with a 2022 eTorque try something for me?
1. Put your truck into Accessory mode (engine off) and leave the radio on
2. start truck up after 5 minutes
When I do this I often get a battery light pop up on my instrument cluster for 10 seconds or so, then it disappears. If the engine turns off using auto start/stop for similar length of time I don't get the battery light.
Reason for using Accessory mode for me is I often end up at a train crossing and having to wait 5-10 minutes and don't idle my truck that long, so I turn it off and put it in Acc. mode. Wondering if my truck has some sort of large power draw in acc mode, or if the battery is toast but the eTorque battery system is covering for it during auto start/stop, or if it's normal...
