So I got a 2021 Limited 1500, 5’7” bed, Rambox and Multifunction Tailgate. I really like the look of the Rambar, and other racks, but since I have the Rambox there are no stake pockets. Plus the rail and the bed are different.

So my question is, does anyone else out there with a similar bed setup have a rack or bar they would recommend? Is there such a thing as a bar/rack that doesn’t require stake pockets?

Lots of racks and bars that drill through the rails to attach, but once you add Ram box your options are very limited as the rack needs to be narrower to miss the lids. Haven't seen any that work personally, but bump in case others have.

Regarding Front Runner: If you just want bars (instead of a full platform), contact them; they probably will set you up and they’ve been we’ve responsive with my questions (I got their platform for my non-Rambox 1500 with Retrax XR cover).

Also, you can probably ignore that the page says for 6’4” bed. I use the platform they show for the longer bed with my 5’7” bed, and it’s no problem. But they do offer a shorter platform. Their customer service has been excellent, so ask them what’s best for you.

What do you want to do with your truck? In my case, I have a 2020 1500 RAM similar to your setup without the multifunction tailgate, and wanted to go overlanding and use a roof top tent (RTT). With the RamBox, it's a little difficult finding something inexpensive. Fortunately I went with Frontrunner who had load bars that I attached to my factory rails. Pretty easy setup, no drilling required, and I can still open the RamBox fully. Granted you can't mount things like gas containers, shovels, hi-lift jacks and all the other cool things people put, but it serves my purpose. Everything else goes into the bed.

I know it says it won’t fit with the multifunction tailgate but there has to be a way to make it fit? i don’t have the rambox. Anyone?

What about doing a Diamondback Cover or Retrax XR cover and add bars with the t-slot track? That's my plan to run Thule or Yakima bars

Diamondback allows for the baskets with rails… Yakima basket on mine.
