Bakflip MX4 tonneau cover for '19 Ram w Ramboxes arrived: installation hints/tips?

So a big box showed up on my doorstep, and I plan on installing this Bakflip MX4 this coming weekend on my '19 Ram 1500 Limited w Ramboxes.

Aside from what I can gather by reading the instructions, do any of y'all who've already done this have any tips or recommendations?

You may find that the driver side rail will get stuck. Either call BAK and wait for a replacement rail or get out an angle grinder with a flap wheel and take off <1mm from the top of the driver's side RAM bed rail.

If you have a bedliner I would stick the foam insulation / weather strips on the rubber seals of the cover itself, not on the coated bed of the truck.

Other than that, it's super easy and should take you 30-60 minutes to install, adjust, and stick the foam down.

How much did you pay and where did you purchase it from? I'm looking to order mine within the next month as I expect delivery of my new limited with ram boxes late April. How long did it take from order to delivery?

Did you get the BUG?

Coat the rails with some kind of lubricant before attempting to slide in. I used a silicon spray after attempting to do with nothing at first.

Yes, I have the BUG.

I paid $790 w/ free shipping from www.TruckAlterations.com (Luke or Lukas).
That said, that quote dates from back in November, when they didn't have anything to ship me. At the time he cautioned me that it would probably be January before these were ready, because Bak was tweaking the design, and he suggested that I call him back then. I emailed him last week sometime and he said yeah they were shipping now. Reminded him of of the earlier quote (which was in our email dialogue) and he honored it. For what it's worth it was significantly better than what Tonneau Factory Outlet was quoting me. TFO said they'd price match when they quoted me, but I was inclined to dance with the one who brung me.

So he said it would take 2-3 weeks to get it, but it showed up on my doorstep about a week after I ordered it.
 
Hmmm... :unsure:. Their site still says MID 2019 for anything w/ramboxes.

Thanks. That is less than what TFO just quoted me last night. My VIN was just created on Monday, so I wont need it until late April, so a few weeks to ship is actually better if it saves some $$$ for other stuff (like the extender pegs I just ordered!).

How do I order the bed extender pegs? (Or is there a thread on the topic you can refer me to?)

I swear I've got a box in my foyer that says it contains the MX4 for the '19 Ram 1500 with Ramboxes. I think Bakflip is remiss in keeping their site updated. Either that or I'm an unwilling beta tester, which I suspect is within the realm of possibilities.

I received my MX4 for Ram Box (New 2019 style) a couple of weeks ago and it is installed. Before I ordered it I did an online chat with a Bakflip representative and they said it wasn't available at all. I then called my local vendor and he promptly ordered the cover. I'm not sure why there is a disconnect but there was.
 
www.TruckAlterations.com just quoted me a great price for the Bakflip MX4 that beat any other I saw here or in other forums. If you are looking for one also, email them and ask for Luke. He said shipping for Rambox covers is approximately 10-14 days on average.

Yeah I’ve had my bakflip a few weeks now af least. At that time they said they weren’t shipping too but Shaun with TFO got me one and got me to the front of the line... I ordered and received mine within like a week.
 
I'm looking for the best price on an MX4 now for my new 2019 with 6'4" bed. What's the best price so far?
 
Guys, any leaks on your MX4? Would order it again or try something else? Had one on my GMC and it was fine. Just seeing if there were any better options available. Thanks
