Looking at both tires. The Toyo in a 305/45/22 weighing in 48 pounds. The Mickey Thompson Baja Boss in a 33x12.5R22LT weighing in at 73 pounds.
I like them both, the MT has a more aggressive looking tread. Question is, would the 25 pounds per tire make that noticeable of a difference?

I would do the Toyo's over the M/T's. Why not 33x12.5 Toyo AT3's ?

Originally, the 305s for the better ride, there isn't going to be much towing or serious offroading going on. Then I saw the baja boss tires, and they're only available in the 33x12.5. Also, someone here posted their truck with the M/T's and got me thinking again. The M/Ts are also about $100 bucks cheaper, not that $100 is a deal breaker either way.

I am actually in the same dilemma. I been bouncing back and forth between the 33x12.5 and the 305/45. I do tow but not that heavy or often and I do not off road. I mainly drive on the highway but in snowy conditions in the winter. I feel the softer 305/45XL will probably do better than the 33x12.5 E load in slippery conditions.

Yeah I would avoid the load E tires if you don’t need them. You will absolutely notice the weight difference and ride difference with the heavier stiffer tire

That's my concern. The M/T is an F rated tire. I like the width and appearance but it'll mostly be on pavement so want a decent ride. Interestingly enough, the Toyo OC AT3 in the 33x12.5 is only a few pounds heavier than the 305/45. Still 4 ply vs 10
