I have a 2022 Ram 1500 when removing the tailgate the body side connector pulled off. The dealer says I have to replace the entire left side wire harness. The connector just came off and needs to be reinstalled. The wire is not damaged or broken. It seems unbelievable to me that there would not be an alternate solution. Searching the Forums I have found that I am not the only person that has had this issue but have as of yet found a solution. There has to be a solution. The connector was installed by the manufacturer and is a removable design. Which means it must be able to be reinstalled. Are there any solutions please help.
