Hey there,
It turns out our RAM 2022 rebel's back window frame is actually cracked (no accidents etc) and needs to be replaced along with all the carpet in the truck to the tune of over $3000. Anyone else have this issue? Of course the truck is out of warranty but not by much. I am having a hard time believing that this is not something they are aware is an issue. Especially in a truck that is our 3rd vehicle so not driven a ton, never off road and has never been in an accident. Anyone else have this issue?

Many frames crack which is a big issue. I can't say I've heard of a bent frame, unless it flexed enough, but didn't crack.

I meant to say cracked, not bent. I just fixed it. Thanks!
Yes known issue and there is a TSB out for certain years and VINS I believe. Google TSB cracked window and it should pop up. I don't think they will change carpet though.

As other report this is very well documented issue. There is a TSB as well they issued an extended warranty for select 19-20 vins. I know my 2019 rebel was not included in the rear window extended warranty but my rear window frame never crackedwhile I owned my truck. Do a search and you will find a DIY fix using flowable rtv to seal the frame to stop the leak.

any search would find this out, as a matter of fact google will bring you here. 3k is a bit high i find that hard to believe. i highly doubt even if you can get ram to cover it the carpet will get replaced. lastly if you don't use the slider replacing it with a non slider is cheap and the frame will never crack again.
the slider glass is 300 bucks......i guarantee you can get it installed for less than 200.
the frame is not cracked the top of the slider track is what cracks

We are having to pay to replace the super moldy carpet. You can't even sit in the truck it smells so strong and bad of mold. I hope that the mold is only in the carpet like they are reporting and not the back seats

Also check the hub that sits below rear window for the key fob. It's known to rust/short out and go bad.

i get it but RAM would argue that YOU let it get that far. if you noticed the leak and brought it in immediately they could have caught it before it got mold.....
listen i'm on your side but that is how they see it.
a class action lawsuit was filled on this and the judge ruled kinda in favor of RAM. he said the plaintiff didn't have standing.

We didn't know what was wrong. We did not see a leak. Just a weird, slight smell that started shortly after we had a full service done so we thought it was something that RAM did during the service. We were out of town for 2 weeks, truck was parked outside during massive rains, we got in it and got knocked over by the smell.

It's a complete **** show. Flawed design, if you're lucky bass ackward warranty repair stolen from hillbillys like myself and is going to get worse as these trucks age. The icing on the cake is coping with the jerkoffs at the dealership. The cheapest way (sanity and money) out of this with fried electronics is going through your insurance.

It's absolutely ridiculous. I am just worried that the mold is not just in the carpet. If that is the case, I am going to detail the crap out of it and trade it in. I am so disappointed in RAM. This truck has been amazing otherwise.

Both Ram and GM have that problem. They use the same supplier of rear window frames .

Yea, luckily I knew about the issue when I had my 2019 and was pretty religious to check for leaks and cracks so when mine finally did start leaking, I caught it before any other damage was done. I had a glass shop replace it with a new OEM window and it was good for the two years after it was replaced. Coarse time will tell if it is still an issue on the 2025's but I keep an eye on it as well.
