Back headliner on my 2019 dodge limited is wet

I just got my '19 back today after the second attempt to stop the rear leak. It started pretty slow and was evident by water under both back seats and a funky smell. I had suspected the sunroof drain gaskets.

Ram service determined it to be a cracked glass frame and they replaced the rear window. The seal wasn't good and it leaked similar to the above in the following weeks. Yesterday, they removed the new glass and re-sealed. Hopefully, it is resolved. I'll know in a few weeks.

My headliner appears to have been able to be cleaned by the detail crew. The Limited leather is also damaged and Ram is taking care of me on that too.

Reporting back after my service appointment 2/4/21. So, the “Water Doctor” determined that the leak is due to cracks in the rear window frame directly above the upright dividers on each side of the sliding rear window. Dealership has photographed and documented the issue to Chrysler and is waiting for approval to order a new rear window assembly. They seem confident it will be approved and expect to be able to get the parts(s) in approx 1-2 weeks. 🤞🏻 The dealer indicates they will need 2 days min to remove the entire rear seat in order to gain access for the glass guy to remove the old assembly and install the new. Then clean the headliner, reassemble etc.
Update: Dealer advised that Chrysler has approved the rear window replacement and parts are ordered. 🙂

Thanks for the info! Just rode past my warranty 1k miles. So I had to reseal my front windshield already out of my pocket and now the back is leaking. I don’t want to have to pay for something that expensive again. This is my first dodge and it’s making me not want another one.
I've got a post or 2 about a windshield leak as well. 6k past my warranty. Did you reseal your windshield yourself? If so, did you remove the rubber strip along the top of the windshield?

So here’s the current situation on my 2019 limited rear window leak. Dealer replaced the rear window under warranty, of course the rear seat had to come out, etc. they tried to clean the headliner (it’s light tan) but it’s not coming clean, so now talking about ordering a new headliner.....and of course that means they will need to remove and then install a new windshield.
🙄🔫
Waiting for FCA/Stelantis or who ever the F they are to approve the headliner and windshield.

I have a 2019 1500 limited that is not leaking yet. Several of you in the thread have recommended a marine grade gasket available at Lowes or Home Depot as a replacement for the third brake light OEM gasket. What exactly are you referring to when you say marine grade and what does it look like. I would like to get one just in case.

This is what I used. Not marine grade but seems to be working just fine...

So the headliner and windshield are approved....2 week est. delivery. They did a nice clean job with the rear window replacement. I hate that they have to tear out the windshield and the headliner now. Talk about a high cost (to Ram thank goodness) warranty repair.

You may wanna check out my post about the headliner. As like many others I had the stained headliner and was nervous about the windshield being removed to replace it. If they're gonna replace anyways it doesn't hurt to give the cleaning a shot first. You don't have to scrub it very hard. More just a heavy blotting with the peroxide.

An Update:
So....back window replaced, headliner replaced, windshield removed, broken and replaced after long wait. All told truck has been in shop 4 times, and about 45 days total. The dealer did a nice job. Clean install, detailed the truck and fuel topped up. Not even the dealer I bought it from. I did have a loaner (Jeep Cherokee 🤮). Definitely NOT my Ram Limited.
I initiated a case with Ram Care asking for some help with my monthly truck loan payments ($1156). And after collecting all kinds of documents, repair orders, loan docs, payment records, etc the case manager says they won’t authorize even one month of a payment because I had a loaner but can offer me a service contract.
Really?!?! a service contract on a truck that has 3 years left on the warranty? That’s worthless. I refused that and asked for a better resolution. Case manager says no way to escalate or appeal but he’s going to look into some other form of “good will”.
For the inconvenience, aggravation and time out of my Ram I think 2 months payments is reasonable.

Wait, I'm a little confused. If you have a 2019, how do you have 3 years left on your warranty? I must have missed something.

Yeah your right, fat fingered the keyboard. Thanks for catching that. Anyway still not happy with a service option.

I am joining this club. Headliner is wet. Dealer ship put a third brake light in under extended warranty of the brake light. They said the glass frame is cracked. They said I'm SOL. 2020 54k miles. I am refusing to shell out $ to them after they forgot my appointment for the brake light... other dealer that is closer never even called me back from when my oiler cooler failed. Oh and I also had to shell out my own money for new coolant on that issue. FCA is a joke. I'll just goop the back glass. It will match the build quality of my truck. My radio does work on Am/Fm, and sometimes the whole screen. Happened on 5 occasions. I am completely disappointed after 13 month of owning this POS.
