Why is it that when I have the auto parking brake function set to on, sometimes when I get in the truck and put it in drive to leave and the E brake automatically turns off, but sometimes it stays on when I put it in drive?

Because sometimes your seatbelt isnt buckled when shifting out of park.

I've been wondering the same thing. That makes sense.

Really? Wow, I had noticed it wasn't consistent too, but hadn't put it together that it has to do with the seatbelt not being latched. Thanks!

Yes, it's in the owner manual.

Weird because I'm sure my seatbelt is buckled everytime I'm shifting to drive and it still only does it sporadically. I'll keep an eye on this though, maybe that is what I'm doing.

Thanks for the help everyone! Turns out I'm a dummy and it was only not working when I didnt have my seatbelt on. Thanks again!
