Auto Headlights time delay during daylight in dark conditions. Any way to change the time delay?

This is not a problem at night, only daytime. Anyone notice how long it takes for the headlights to turn on in Auto? Specifically during daylight when encountering dark conditions (going through a tunnel, etc.) Is there any way to make it a shorter time? It seems like when I am going through a tunnel, most other cars with Auto have their headlights on within a couple seconds... mine don’t turn on until I am almost out of the tunnel. At least 7-10 seconds sometimes. And on the flip side it takes an equal amount of time for them to turn off. I do understand it’s based on the light sensor at the front of the dash. Cannot find any way to change it in UConnect. On my VW there is a choice to shorten or lengthen the time. I guess I can always just turn them on manually if I want them on immediately.. but that kind of defeats the purpose of Auto On.

No, you can’t change it. Oddly, mine come on too quickly for my liking, and they don’t turn off as quickly as I’d like...

Thanks SpeedyV, interesting that yours come on quickly, that’s exactly what I’d like. Oh well. Thanks for the info!

Same for me...I have a street I go down every day that is very covered by trees and it comes on almost the minute I get under those trees...then about 500 feet later it goes off after leaving the dense tree area.

I believe mine has a short delay also. No settings to be found.

My thought was to cover the autolamp sensor and force the lights to always be on. This serves a dual purpose for me as I want my fog lights to be always on and NOT to worry about the main light switch. If you leave the switch on AUTO and turn the truck off, everything turns off and does not give you a beep reminder.
