Hi!
Posting this for information as others could be interested: I switched my wheels to the American Racing 933 in 20inch with 0 offset. Those wheels do require some hub centric rings “106 to 78.1” + new smaller lug nuts “14mm x 1.5”.
As I mostly do road/highway driving and from time to time use the truck for camping / exploring parks, I selected what seem to be a mild All terrain set of tires with the Continental TerrainContact All terrain in 275x60 R20.
That tire is amazing! Better grip on my slick garage floor than the original Good year highway tires, and obviously better traction in sandy/rocky terrains.
I was surprised by the noise level: they are absolutely silent. No road noise whatsoever on asphalt (i would say comparable if not better than the original tires), but most impressively significantly less noise (less “whistling”) on the concrete pavement of the texans highways...
I have not noticed significant changes in gas consumption... I run between 17 and 20-21mpg depending on mix driving or only highway driving with good winds on the 5.7 hemi
